Dana is originally from Minnesota where she got her BSN at Bethel University in 1994. She started her nursing career at Mayo Clinic in Rochester and practiced for 10 years as a nurse before getting her MSN at U of W Eau Claire in 2004 to become a nurse practitioner. She has specialized in cardiology for 14 years working across the country in Wisconsin, Alaska, and Oregon.

Dana currently lives in Portland, Oregon and is excited to start practicing Preventative Medicine. She strongly believes that if we can help clients earlier to understand the connection between diet/exercise and their overall health, we can prevent long term chronic diseases or better control them. Dana reports that she “was drawn to the Living Wellness program because I feel strongly that we as providers have failed if the first time I see a client is in my cardiology office. I'd like to prevent disease, not have to treat it after the fact.”
